More on cameras in the delivery rooms…
Here is the NY Times article that ran last week and started this current national discussion on cameras in the delivery room.
Balanced piece….I point to the hospitals/practices featured in the article that promote cameras, not only for the benefit of the mother/family, but also for possible training and learning as well as part of their overall commitment to transparency. Reading the article, you just get a better feel about these facilities, versus the hospitals that ban cameras, which doesn’t just ring right.
Also, the article cites a large settlement against the University of Illinois Medical Center due to a delivery with complications where a camera was used – and UI is now one of the most celebrated disclosure institutions in the country and world.
