Sorry Works! in the Journal of Patient Safety and Risk Management
Sorry Works! was published last week in the Journal of Patient Safety and Risk Management (JPS). The article was authored by Doug Wojcieszak, Sorry Works! Founder and President. The title of the research report is, "Consumer background and composition on state medical boards: Who are these citizen members and do they adequately protect the public?" Here is the link for the article.
This paper analyzes who how many public or citizen members are appointed to state medical boards, and what are the backgrounds of these individuals. This project grew out of another project in which Sorry Works! was surveying state medical board members to see how they will handle (or do handle) cases involving disclosure and apology. To conduct the survey, Sorry Works! first had to create a list of state medical board members, and as the list was being assembled it was clear to see public members varied in number and background between state medical boards and the JPS paper was born.
Sorry Works! will be launching additional research projects in early 2022....to help fund these projects please click on this link.
Sincerely,
- Doug
